Appointments & Custom Made To Order Pieces Information

                      Custom Orders currently closed until 28th March 2021.

Appointment Times Friday: 4pm and 5pm Saturday: 1pm and 2pm

Closed Sunday and Public Holidays

Appointments can be made outside of these hours upon request, where possible.

 When orders reopen  - Design Quotations

Will be completed in 1-2 weeks.

Conditions Of Custom Made to Order Pieces

Pieces cannot be returned because of client’s change of mind or intended recipient doesn’t like the custom made piece. Alterations or Remake is available at additional cost. By paying the deposit you are agreeing that you have read and understood this.

Wait Times

Custom Order wait time is dependent on how many other Customers' Orders are in front of yours and how complex your piece is to make. Usually 8-10 weeks.

If you require your Order by a certain time, please ensure the 60% deposit is paid promptly.

Deposits

On Custom Work a Deposit is required to start the Make, approximately 60% of the Quoted price. Work will not commence until payment is received. This is used to purchase materials.

Progress Pictures

Each Custom Order will have a minimum of 5 progress pictures taken of their order during the manufacturing process.

Cancellations

If the custom order is cancelled after the materials have already been purchased/work has already started on order - a portion of the deposit will be kept to cover loss of Labour and Materials. Each order will be different & Customer will be notified on the Quote of how much this will be. This also applies to Jewellery ordered in from a Supplier especially for a Customer.

Final Payment on Custom Orders

Can be made by Cash or Pre Arranged Direct Deposit must be made in full and have cleared before the item will be delivered.

Orders Using Scrap Metal

Warranty is not applicable if customer has requested I use old/scrap gold remelted, because I can not guarantee there is no foreign particles in the melt that will affect the jewellery later on (it is not uncommon for remelted jewellery to crack years later - for no obvious reason). Because of this we prefer to use new metal on our makes. All customers will be notified of this when they request to use old gold in the new make.

Care Instructions

Stone Set Jewellery is intended for Dress Wear only.

(eg when you go out everyday - but not worn to bed, gardening, gym etc where it can be damaged) Keep free from perfume, hairspray, chlorine, salt water, or other cleaning agents can cause deterioration or damage to Jewellery.

Pearls - Are glued in place, please refrain from getting wet as this will impair the integrity of the glue.

Custom Orders Receive 1 x a year free Clean and Polish (includes check stones, light emery & polish) Or ½ price Rhodium Plate $25 (normally $50) Contact us to redeem offer.

*Disclaimer all White gold Jewellery is Rhodium plated. This will need to be reapplied over time dependent on how much the piece is worn*

Warranty

Please contact me if you have any issues with your Custom Make, prior to taking it to another Jeweller to be repaired.

If you are unhappy with your order for any reason please contact us within 5 working days of delivery. We will do our best to resolve the problem quickly.

If goods are faulty they will be replaced/repaired. As per ACCC Guidelines.

Please note this Guarantee does not cover faults arising from

General Wear and Tear is not classed as a fault as well as damage from rough handling and wearing 24/7,  to the extent permitted by law.

Misuse, accident, abuse, alteration, substitution, improper repair or warranty service performed by someone other than us or our authorised repairers, theft, disappearance, loss (including lost stones) or any other type of use causing deterioration (Damage caused by perfume, hairspray, chlorine, salt water, or other agents)

The costs of any repairs and maintenance carried out during the Warranty period that are not the result of defects in material and/or workmanship must be covered by the customer.

Carella Jewellers reserves the right to judge whether the jewellery has been subject to any of the above mentioned exclusions.

CONSUMER LAW INFORMATION

Consumer warranty is 12 months.

Our goods come with guarantee that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a Replacement or refund for a “major failure” and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a “major failure”. [Note: “major failure” has a specific meaning under the Australian Consumer Law.]

Carella Jewellers will at our option, repair or replace, jewellery proven by our jewellers - including outsourced trade work jewellers -to be defective due to the manufacturing process within 12 months after the date of purchase.
